Your Identity in Christ

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 8:9-10 ‘But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.’ (NKJV)

Holy Spirit dwells in me, therefore I have eternal life. I am in right standing with God, I am righteous!

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 8:2 ‘For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.’ (NKJV)

Thank you Jesus! You freed me from the cycle of sin and death! I have eternal life.

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 8:1 ‘There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.'(NKJV)

I walk in the spirit, not in the flesh. Therefore I am without guilt and free, there is no more condemnation!

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

God love me (Joh3:16; Eph1:4)
He planned me, I am not an afterthought (Psa139:16)
I am a child of God (Joh1:12; Col1:13)
I am chosen, accepted and adopted(Eph1:5)
I am redeemed, holy and righteous and have wisdom in Christ (1Cor1:30)
I am forgiven (Eph1:7; Joh3:17-19)
I am blameless, without condemnation (Rom8:1,2)
I have logic thinking (no fear), power, love and a sound mind (self-control)
(2Tim1:7)
I have God’s grace and favour (Eph1:7; Luk2:14; Prov3:4; Psa23:6)

Lets declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 6:22 ‘But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.’ (NKJV)

I am holy (set apart, clean and righteous) and have everlasting life! Because I believe in Jesus and what He did for me. Thank you, Jesus!

Lets declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 6:18 ‘And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness [of conformity to God’s will and purpose].’ (AMP)

Because of our faith in Jesus Christ, we are set free from the sin-nature. We are no longer slaves to sin but we are slaves to God’s righteousness. We live in God’s will and purpose for us.

Lets declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 6:14 ‘For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.’ (NKJV)

Thank you, Father, that You gave Jesus to free us from sin and its power. Thank You for the freedom of Your grace that we now live under.

Lets declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 6:13 Do not present your members to sin as instruments for unrighteousness, but present yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments for righteousness. (ESV)

Thank you, Jesus, that You bought me free from the sin-nature. Thank You, Father, that I can give myself and my abilities to Your service because of my righteousness before You.

Lets declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 6:11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. (ESV)

I am one with Christ (in unity), I am living for God and my sin-nature is dead, sin does not rule me any more. Thank You, Jesus!

Lets declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

Rom 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life. (NKJV)

Rom 6:8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, (NKJV)

There is no more death ( separation from God) in our new life. We now live an eternal life with Christ!
