Your Identity in Christ

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

A Summery from the Corinthian Epistles (Part 1)

• I am holy, set apart for Christ! 1Cor1:2
• I am in Christ – free, holy and redeemed! 1Cor1:30
• I am one in spirit with Christ’s Spirit – He lives in me! 1Cor6:17
• I am bought at a high price – I was redeemed with Jesus’ blood! 1Cor6:20
• I live in victory through Jesus Christ and spread His sweet-smelling fragrance of knowledge! 2Cor2:14

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

2Co 5:21 ‘For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.’ (NKJV)

I am righteous (justified) through Jesus who suffered for my sins and died and rose again. In other words: Jesus became sin for me, therefore I am righteous (in right standing or acquitted) before God! Thank You, Jesus, I am righteous before God through You!

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

2Cor5:20 ‘So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!” (NLT)

We are ambassadors or representatives of Christ here on earth. We have an important task to present Christ’s Kingdom to the World. Thank you, Father, for making us, worthy representatives.

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

2Co 5:19 ‘that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.’ (ESV)

Through Christ, God reconciled the world (that include me) to Himself. He doesn’t count my sin to me because of what Jesus Christ did. I am reconciled to Father God.

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

2Co 5:17 ‘Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.’

I am in Christ! That is why the old I am dead and I now live from my new spirit which is brand new in Christ.

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

2Cor3:5 (4-6) ‘4 Such confidence we have through Christ before God. 5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of the new covenant – not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.’ (NIV)

I am competent because of what Jesus did, and through the Spirit I am competent to minister to other in the new covenant. Thank you, Jesus!

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

2Cor2:14 ‘But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.(AMP)

Thank you, Father, You leads us in victory so that we can spread the fragrance of Your knowledge.

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

2Cor2:14 ‘But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us spreads and makes evident everywhere the sweet fragrance of the knowledge of Him.(AMP)

Thank you, Father, for Jesus Christ in whom we are victorious!

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

1Co 6:20 ‘For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.’ (NKJV)

I was bought with Jesus’ blood, it was a very high price He paid for me. Thank you, Jesus, for redeeming me from my sin debt. I praise and glorify You for that!

Let us declare and establish our Identity in Christ according to:

1Co 6:17 ‘But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.‘ (NKJV)

I have joined myself to the Lord, therefore my spirit is one with His Spirit and He lives in me.
