God loves you as you are

Do you live in fear that you are not good enough for God and that He doesn’t love you?

1Jn 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

God loves each one of us, regardless of what we had done, and sent Jesus to earth for the liberation of our sin. God did it by himself because He loves every human who ever lived in the past, at present, and in the future on earth.

1Jn 4:15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of GodGod abides in him, and he in God.

We must only believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus died for our sin (Rom 10:9-10) for God to come and stay in us and we in Him. Jesus’ offering unites us with God and God doesn’t see our sin anymore. (Heb 10:17-18).

Then start building a relationship with God, accept His love and blessing here on earth. Don’t let your shortcomings hold you back, God loves you as you are, building your trust in God.

We as believers have nothing to fear, when we die here on earth we are going to God.

Take Control of Your Thoughts

Amidst Covid and ‘lockdown’ and numerous warnings, messages and news reports, we need to be vigilant about what we allow into our minds so that we do not become frustrated, discouraged and/or depressed.

There is an excess of information and most of the information is not the full truth, it is exaggerated, or fictional and causes distress, uncertainty, worry, fear and panic. We do not have to read every message and news story.

We must learn to discern what is needed and what we should throw away or disregard. The question is how do you do that, how do you know?

God’s Word says:

2Co 10:4-5For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,(NKJV)

Our mind is the battlefield where the enemy wants to overwhelm and sow confusion.

How do we deal with it, how do we oppose it?

You have a choice, what to allow in your mind!

If it makes you feel uneasy, worried, insecure or confused, decide to replace that thought with the truth – God’s Truth – God’s Word.

Stop wrong thoughts, capture thoughts – be the police officer in your mind and say out loud ‘No it’s wrong’ and immediately replace it with positive thoughts based on God’s Word.

Do not let your mind run wild with fearful thoughts. Most of the time nothing comes of such thoughts, and we worry unnecessarily about something that does not come to reality at all.

Here is some scripture to replace wrong thinking with:

Rom 8:31b‘….. If God is for us, who can be against us? KJV)

Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (NKJV)

Psa 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. (NKJV)

2Ti 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (NKJV)

Heb 13:5b …. For He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.” (NKJV)

Psa 118:17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD. (NKJV)

Php 4:6-8 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (NKJV)

Ask God and Holy Spirit to guide you to learn what is right.

If your relationship is not yet such that you always immediately hear what God is saying, ignore all messages and news stories and just read the Bible.

Worries make nothing better.

Rather declare the Word over you and your loved ones and be thankful in all circumstances.

There is always something to be thankful for, praise and glorify God for provision and protection.

God is faithful and love.

1Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. (NKJV)

2Ti 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.(NKJV)

Heb 12:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.’ (NKJV)

Walk in the light of God

What do
we believe, think and speak?

1Jn
1:5-7
This is the message which we
have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no
darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk-in
darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as
He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus
Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

We
believe God is our light in this world and we want to reflect His light to the
world, but how successful are we reflecting His light? What we think, we speak
with our mouth. What is the world hearing we say?

Are we
demonstrating fear for what is happening around us, which is the darkness or
are we demonstrating trust in God that we shall overcome, which is the light of
God?

We
can’t confess our belief in God and live in fear because then we don’t really
believe that in God we can overcome anything. When living in fear we walk in
darkness and God’s light is not shining through us.

Close
your mind to all the doom preaching from the darkness and look to God trusting
He is looking out for you and backing you.

We as Christians and world epidemic viruses

As a
Christian, where are you standing with the Coronavirus, do you also live in fear as
the rest of the world?

There is
now a new virus and everybody is going hysterical about it. The question is
what about this virus is different from the normal flu and cold viruses that we
are exposed to regularly? According to what is being said about it, is that it’s
a mutation from the other viruses that we are already exposed to and can be
fatal if not taken care of, which has a similar outcome with any of other flu
and cold viruses that are not taken care off.

The devil is creating panic by using the fear
that this virus will be killing everybody who came in contact with or is
infected with the virus. He is even successful in interfering with the
Christian world when church services are suspended and gatherings in SA are
limit to 100 due to fear that the virus can spread when Christians came in
contact with each other in gatherings.

The question to everyone who says he/she is a
Christian, where do you stand on this virus, are you also in fear?

First and very
important – God didn’t bring this virus onto the people because He is angry
with the people.

God loves all the people – John 3:16 For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son,”
.

John 14:9-10  Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet
you have not known Me, Philip? He who
has seen Me has seen the Father
; so how can you say, ‘Show us the
Father’?  Do you not believe that I
am in the Father
, and the Father in
Me
? The words that I speak to you I
do not speak on My own authority
; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.

Here Jesus says that God is in Him ‘the
Father who dwells in Me does the works
’, did Jesus while He was
on earth, ever cursed anyone or killed one who didn’t follow God correctly?

Jas 1:13  Let no one say when he is tempted,
“I am tempted by God”; for
God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He
Himself tempt anyone

God does not tempt or test us either.

In the time before Jesus and God’s new covenant with us, God had to
take action because of the law and the agreement God had with Israel and also to protect people from other
people who were possessed by the devil (evil spirits).

The situation now
is that the devil is still the prince of the world – Luke 4:6 & Eph 2:1-2 –
and his main objective is to prevent as many as possible people to discover
Jesus and getting saved.

John 10:10  The thief does not
come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come
that they may have life, and that
they may have it more abundantly

The devil (thief) wants to steal, kill and
destroy, but Jesus came to give abundant life. God loves you and will protect His children from perishing,

Second is the question,
are you, as a confessed Christian, really born-again?

To be
born-again you must have done the following with all of your heart –

Rom 10:9-10  that if you confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus
and believe
in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead
, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes unto
righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Only God
and you know if you really meant it and are truly born-again.

How do you
know you are born-again?

You receive
the fruit of the Spirit which are love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. You will be passionate about
Jesus, The main question is, do you have peace?

Php 4:6-7  Be
anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with
thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all
understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus

Third is the question,
what happens if you are a born-again follower of Jesus?

When Jesus died on
the cross and was resurrected from death He overcomes the devil for all who
believes in Him.

Heb 2:14-15  Inasmuch
then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise
shared in the same, that through death
He might destroy him
who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death
were all their lifetime subject to bondage
.

Jesus
released us from the bondage of the devil and give us power over the devil as He
said in Mark 16

Mar 16:17-18  And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with
new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will
recover
.”

These words
if they drink anything deadly, it will
by no means hurt them’
clearly state that God will protect us,
all that is expected from us is to have faith.

It doesn’t matter what happens here on earth, God
will protect us –

Heb 13:5-6  Let your
conduct be without
covetousness; be content with
such things as you have. For He, Himself has said, “I WILL
NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU.” So we may boldly say: “THE LORD IS MY HELPER; I WILL NOT FEAR. WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME?

There is much more scripture where God promises
us that He will protect us – Ps 91, 1Pe 5:7, 2Pe 2:9, Mat 28:20, Jas 54:17, Luk 21:18

Fourth is the question, how do I build my faith up
to the level of belief that God will protect me?

Read the Word of God is
the most important –

Rom
12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind,
that you may prove what is
that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

When
reading the Word of God and believing the Word, you remove all the doubt and
fear that the people and news media put into your mind and replace it with the
true words from God that will build you up and also building your faith in God
which is necessary to overcome the attacks from the devil.

2Ti
3:16-17

All Scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is
profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped
for every good work.

Believe God’s Word
without any question or doubt, many false preachers tell us that we must be
reading the Bible in different ways, but the only correct way is to read it as
it is written and ask the Holy Spirit to open the scriptures for you to better
understanding.

1Co 2:12-14  Now
we have received
, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have
been freely given to us by God.
  These
things we also speak
, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they
are foolishness to him; nor can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.

The Holy Spirit opens
God’s Word spiritually for us to understand God and this is not possible for
people who are not born-again.

When reading the Word of
God, write down scripture with promises from God to protect you. Then read these
scriptures daily and it will build your faith that God will protect you.

Fifth is begin to use communion daily

Do it every morning – the
same way you drink vitamins daily.

Why use communion?

Jesus body was broken for
us with the crucifixion – whipped as it is quoted in –

1Pe 2:24  who Himself bore our sins in His own body
on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed

We
should live a life without any sickness, because Jesus already carried all sickness, which is also a curse, on
His body when He was crucified for us. This means that the bread we eat is
Jesus’ body broken for us to be healthy, whole and prosperous and the wine we
drink is Jesus’ blood that was spilled for us to clean us from our sin and sin-nature
and that we can stand righteous before God.

Can anyone use communion by himself or
herself?

There
are no scriptures in God’s Word that say only certain people may take the lead
in performing communion as was done by the priest in the old covenant with sin-offerings
to God. In Jesus, we all are holy priests –

1Pe
2:4-5

Coming to Him as to a living
stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,  you also, as living stones, are being built
up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood,
to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

When using communion, use the following scriptures

1Co 11:23-26  …..that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed
took bread; and when He had
given thanks, He broke it and
said, “Take, eat; this is My body
which is broken for you
; do this in
remembrance of Me
.” In the same manner, He also took the
cup after supper, saying, “This cup
is the new covenant in My blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.
”
For as often as you eat this bread and
drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.

Each
time you take communion you are remembering what Jesus had done for you and
that you are healthy, whole and prosperous, without sin and righteous before
God. This will also build your faith in that through Jesus you are already
healed and if you don’t see it at the moment, it will manifest as long as you
believe it.

Don’t let the following vers scare you off in
taking communion –

1Co 11:27  Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks
this cup of the Lord in an
unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

Taking
communion is spiritual and only born-again believers can partake in communion
because they have the Spirit of God in them and are spiritual. It is how you consider the
body of Christ and what He did that can make it unworthy. Eg. Do you really
believe everything that Jesus went through on the cross and in the grave and
that He died for everybody’s sin on the cross and was risen again? If you don’t
believe it you are using communion unworthly.

Let’s get practical

  • Go back to God’s Word and read it with the
assistance of the Holy Spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit every time you read the Word
to open it for you. This shall build your faith.
  • Write down scripture where God gives promises that
He will look after us and read them daily to build your faith further.
  • Don’t let the news media and social media make you
fearful, just take note if it is important info from a trustable source, adhere
to Government rules and keep your trust in God.
  • Go on with your normal life, go to work, shops,
and church, confirming your faith in God that He will protect you by thanking Him
for His protection when you leave home.
  • When and if help is needed, go out and help with
the faith that no virus shall survive around you when it landed on you.
  • Use communion daily.
  • Let God’s light shine through you for all the
fearful people to see. A good method for winning souls for Jesus.
  • By now you should know the symptoms of the virus
and when you detect these symptoms in you, go and get help. You are not a
failure when the virus and devil get entrance into your body. Medical health
care is there because God provided it, use it.
  • Very important always stay positive, believe in
God and resist the fear the devil wants to ignite in everyone. When you start
fearing, go sit down and talk to God. Tell Him what is on your heart and what
you fear. God is trustworthy and will help you.
  • Be careful that you don’t carry the virus to other
people who are not on the same faith level as you.

Seed and Bread

What is the difference between you receiving seed and bread from God?

In 2
Corinthians 9, Paul wrote to the believers in Corinth on a collection for the believers
in Jerusalem who were starving.

I want to
start with vers 10

2Co 9:10  Now may He
who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the
seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,

He was
quoting

Isa 55:10
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from
heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth
and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater,

God gives
us seed and bread – seed to sow and bread to eat

Down to the
practical – when we receive money – our salary as a normal worker or payment
for our harvest from what we had planted as a farmer or pension as a pensioner
or a social grant from the government – that amount is divided in two parts –
seed and bread.

What is
important – there is seed to sow, can be call the tithe, and we must sow it.

Then there
is the bread what we can eat.

As in
everything in life and the way God created it –is there a balance.

Don’t eat
your bread and seed – don’t sow your seed and bread.

The seed
has a purpose – to been sown and multiply – making provision for more food.

The bread
has a purpose – to been eaten by us for feeding us – if you sow bread it won’t
grow.

2Co 9:6  But this I say: He who sows sparingly will
also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

When we
only sow halve off what God gave us to sow, we shall reap less than we would have
if we had sow what God wants us to sow, also meaning that we shall have less
bread to eat at the end.

If we sow
what God wants us to sow – He will let us reap bountiful – more than what our
need is and it will give us the opportunity to share more – sow more.

Example:
Sow halve amount of seed for corn – reap not enough for own consumption – sow whole
amount of seed and there will be more than enough for us and a good quantity to
give to our neighbours.

2Co 9:7  So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not
grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

Just as
important on how much we sow, is with what attitude we sow –

If we sow
with a attitude of it is a law and if we don’t sow God will be angry with us or
if we sow a lot then God will give us many because we need big time to keep up
with our current life style, then we are definitely going to suffer.

How do we
determine how much we must sow, ask God and He will tell us.

Amen

Free will

This was the first sermon I preached to a small congregation in the Lesotho mountains on 3 September 2017.
The sermon is in the form of a story with questions that they understood what was told, which is according to Lesotho’s people’s manner of communication. I enjoyed preaching for them and they freely participated in answering the questions. With the alter call we prayed for a number of people for healing and most were healed, these people are blatantly honest and tell you when they don’t feel better after you prayed for them.

Sermon on Free Will

I want to tell you a story about us having free will (choice) to choose what we want and if we choose one way it can bring good to us and if we choose the other way it can bring bad for us. The story is about the two big spirits in the world. Before this world was there, was there a Great Spirit with great power, we can’t understand how big it is. Gen1 This Great Spirit made other spirits and give them power to do work for him.

One of the spirits was very beautiful and he starts thinking too much of himself and he starts talking to some of the other spirits turning them against the Great Spirit. Isa 14:12 This bad spirit then try to take control over from the Great Spirit, The Great Spirit was too strong for the bad spirit and stop him and the other spirits that followed the bad spirit. The Great Spirit also took the power of the bad spirits away and they could do nothing. Luk 10:18

The Great Spirit decided to make the earth where we are staying now. When the Great Spirit made the earth, He made the mountains, rivers, animals, fish, birds, insects, plants, and man. Gen 1 The Great Spirit made man with a spirit living inside their body who talk with the Great Spirit. He also made man wiser than the animals and gave the man power and tell them they must rule over the earth and everything that is living on earth. Gen 1:26+28

The Great Spirit also gives the man a free will (choice) to decided themselves what they want to do or not to do or how to do something. But then the bad spirit came to the first man and his wife, the Great Spirit made and tell them a lie about the Great Spirit which they believed and with their free will (choice) they give their power to this bad spirit. Remember the Great Spirit gives the man power to rule over the earth and animals. Gen 3 When this happens this bad spirit became the prince of the earth with the power the Great Spirit had given to the man. Eph 2:1+2

The Great Spirit then move away from the man and all his children, we are part of the children, by stop talking to the spirits in the man and say they will die and not live forever as He had planned for the man. Gen 3 The Great Spirit is a good Spirit and He love the man, but the bad spirit makes people sick, he let a man kill another, he let a man take another mans cow, he goes into a man making him mad/crazy and he let a man put bad things on another. John 5:15 +10:10

Then many years later the Great Spirit send His Son to earth because He loves the people very much. John 3:16 The Son of the Great Spirit came as a human baby to earth and grow up to become a normal man. Mat 1 The Son of the Great Spirit had grown up, he walks on earth for three years doing good for the people. He told the people that the Great Spirit is good and love all the people on the earth. Mat 3-25 The Son of the Great Spirit make sick people healthy, He told bad spirits to go out of people and He also makes people who died, came back to life. The people from that time became very angry, because the bad spirit lives in them, to the Son of the Great Spirit because He did not do anything wrong against the Great Spirit as they did. Mat 26+27 They then kill the Son of the Great Spirit by hanging Him on a cross and after He died He was put in a cave which was His grave.

But 3 days after He was killed, the Great Spirit raised Him from the dead. Mat 28 The Son of the Great Spirit also told the man that because He did no sin when He was on earth but was still killed, He died for the man sin. The Great Spirit loves man and will now forgive man their sin if they choose to believe that He – the Son of the Great Spirit – died for their sin and was made alive again. They have a free will to believe this or not. The Great Spirit will also then start talking to the spirit living in the man again and He will give them the same power that the Son of the Great Spirit had when He was on earth, making people healthy and controlling bad spirits.

Who is the Great Spirit? – the Almighty God who love us. John 04:23-24 Who is the Son of the Great Spirit? – Jesus Who is talking to our spirits who live in us and give us the same power as the Son of the Great Spirit had? – the Holy Spirit of God Who is the bad spirits? – the devil and his demons. God love us so much that He send Jesus to earth and die for our sin on the cross. John 3:16 God give to us a free will to choose if we want to believe and accept in our hearts, that Jesus came to earth and died for our sin. If you choose and accept Jesus as your saviour, you will start living a better life here on earth and when your body dies your spirit will go and live with God and Jesus in the beautiful heaven. Mark 16:16 Luk 23:46 Act 7:59 If you choose not to accept Jesus as your saviour, you will not have a good life here on earth and when your body die your spirit will go to the place of the big fire. Mark 16:16

If you choose that you believe and accept in your heart, that Jesus came to earth and died for your sin, you must pray the following: “Almighty God I ask forgiveness for my sin I did before and I believe that Jesus is my Lord and Saviour, that You God love me and is the only Spirit in my life who I shall serve and listen to”.

You are now saved and as an act of thanking God you ask that you must be baptised in water. Mark 16:16 Acts 2:38 You also ask that God fill you with His Holy Spirit and that it will flow out of you so that you can heal people and clean them from bad spirits. Act 8:14-17

After you were saved and your sin – do what God doesn’t like – you shall move away from God and give the devil again a chance to attack you by making you sick but if you see you are doing wrong and stop that and ask God’s forgiveness and healing in the name of Jesus, God will forgive you and you will move back under God’s protection and received healing. 1 John 1:6-10 If you don’t ask for forgiveness you will die quicker but your spirit will still go to God and Jesus in heaven. 1 Cor 5:5 Eph 1:13

Encouragement

  • When you get to the point of total dejection – discouragement and you are empty, not worth anything, and totally drained.
  • Depressed, seeing no use to continue with your obligations – don’t want to continue. Your tired, don’t want to get up in the morning.
  • You recover halfway for a couple of days and then you go down again. A roller-coaster life.

Reaching this point is an indicator that you should start with a total overview on your walk with Christ.

Remember when you were saved and born again, how did you feel and what did it mean to you?
You felt a peace came over you, you felt different.

2Cor 5:17-21 (ESV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

What does it mean? You are a new creation, old has passed away and the new has come.

What happened when you took Jesus as your savior?

Eph 1:13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

You have a spirit, soul and body (1Thes.5:23) and Eph 1:13 say your spirit is sealed with the Holy Spirit and you can’t corrupt your spirit anymore and that is what God sees when He looks at you through Jesus.

At the same time, we received the fruit of the Spirit:

Gal 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;

This also means you don’t want to sin anymore, but your soul and body are still tempted by the devil.

  • 1Jn 1:8-9 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  • 1Co 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

It doesn’t matter what we do, God still loves us.

1Jn 4:8-11 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Through God’s grace, will you not lose you salvation, except if you renounce Jesus (Heb 6:4-6).

Heb 10:10 And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

1Co 3:10-15 According to the grace of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and someone else is building upon it. Let each one take care how he builds upon it. For no one can lay a foundation other than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw—each one’s work will become manifest, for the Day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire, and the fire will test what sort of work each one has done. If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned up, he will suffer loss, though he himself will be saved, but only as through fire.

Your work for Jesus, out of gratefulness for what He has done for you, will be rewarded.

Following your salvation, you were also been baptize in the Holy Spirit when you asked Jesus.

Then they laid their hands on them and they received the Holy Spirit.

This will also encourage the world outside who read it.
