As you have seen we finished the third year of Bible College and left Heidelberg Western Cape.

We are thank full for the precious time we had there, for all we have learned and the wonderful blessings. Our minds and lives were enriched. Not only by the wonderful surroundings but also by the good friends we made.

We moved back to our house in Marloth Park, Komatipoort and that is in Mpumalanga. It was a two day drive back.

After
we arrived we took a friend site seeing for a few days through the
beautiful eastern escarpment of Mpumalanga and a night in the Kruger
National Park camping.

The
time after returning we went to spend some much needed time with our
children and grandchildren which was long over due.

We
also had spend some time with friends and we settled in and did some
improvements on our house. In between all of the above there were
eating, cleaning and washing to be done.

We
also had some wonderful times that we spent in the presence of God
and His Word. Still learning and establishing more and more of His
love and grace.

What
we are going to do next is in God’s hands and He told us to wait.

Here at Charis Bible College we
received many teachings and spent daily in the Word. On this mission trip, that
is part of our curriculum, we had many opportunities to practice it all. We
know what our authority in Christ is and how to pray in a better way. We are
thankful for this experience, the practice and the results were awesome and
very satisfying.

We had opportunities to minister at
the local clinic and in the villages where we prayed for people with different
circumstances. I enjoyed praying for people, whether it was for a health
problem or a personal or family issue. It was satisfying to see how they were
touched by God. To see their reactions when people realize that there was a
change. That total change of their countenance is indescribable to people that
have never seen it and God touch most of the people that was prayed for.

I never thought that I have prophetic
gifting, but saw it a few times coming forward during this outreach in Lesotho.
It came forward once with a shepherd boy that we prayed for and also when we
were sharing to the team. I also experience knowing or feeling strongly
something, like what the root problem is, when praying and ministering to
someone.

We would also like to thank those
that support us financially and with prayer and to Charis Bible College WC.

We always hear that we must stop
sinning and repent, but here is a quotation from a book written by Andrew
Wommack, The War Is Over.  This change the picture what we are
thinking and learned over the years.

“Contrary to popular opinion, people
don’t go to hell because of their sins. They go to hell because they rejected
the payment for their sins. They go to hell because they refused to receive the
Saviour. When Christians proclaim, “If you don’t quit dipping, cussing, chewing
and doing this and that, God won’t accept you,” you’re imputing people’s sins
unto them. You are also demeaning and decreasing the value of Jesus’ sacrifice.
In reality, you’re saying, “Your sin is bigger and more important than what
Jesus did on the cross.”

“But God was in Jesus not imputing
man’s sins unto them. Sin isn’t the issue. It’s all a matter of what people are
doing with Jesus. Have they made a commitment of their life to Him, or are they
rejecting Him? If someone doesn’t receive Jesus as their Saviour, they reject
the only payment available for their sins. There’s no other way to the Father
except through His Son.”

Joh 14:6  Jesus
saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me.

“So if they don’t accept the payment
for their sins – the Lord Jesus Christ – they’ll be rejected and cast into
hell, not because of their sins, but because of rejecting Jesus. In hell,
they’ll be held accountable and have to pay for those sins. But the truth is,
all those sins have already been paid for by Jesus. Therefore, sin isn’t really
the issue. The issue is what are you going to do with the Lord?”

WHO ARE WE?

Each of us has a body, the physical
body, soul (which is our emotions, mind and will), and spirit. If we are saved
in Jesus or not, if the spirit leaves, the body stop existing (is dead) but the
spirit will live forever in heaven or hell.

While we are not born again we are
looking for identity (who we are). We are looking for a support group or a
place to belong, to help us to find our identity, for example drug addicts,
abortion groups or gay’s look for identity between themselves and then try to
force the rest of society to accept them, but deep inside themselves they know
they are wrong. When our spirit is separated from God, satan make sure he is
part of you. We are further conformed according to life around us, leading by
the media.

When we are born again, God recreate
our spirit with a new identity in Christ and then we found out what our purpose
in life is. 1 Cor. 6:9-11.

Before been born again we are feeling
bad, depressed and sick and after been born again we are full of joy, peace and
love.

It is important to be intimate with God above
your other activities in life.

Did you know when Jesus draw on the
ground He was waiting on God for wisdom when they brought the women caught in
adultery to Him for a verdict (John 8:6) There are many more examples of this
in the Bible. Focus on God’s presence in your life and He will protect you from
evil (Ps 91:3&4, Ps 68:2 & Ps 9:3).

Learn from Abraham that you must
choose relationship over financial gain. Lot choose the best land, ended up in
Sodom and losing everything at the end. Relationships are more important than
money.

Your family (wife and children) is
more important than your success in your career, in ministry or the secular
world. Other people’s salvation through your ministry or your riches in money
will not be worth while the effort, when you end up with dysfunctional children
and a love-starved and emotionally unstable wife. You will probably ending up
very unhappy yourself, even losing your loved ones and financially ruined.

If you want to serve God, get rid of
your right to comfort and convenience. If you are just a believer, you will
probably in your own comfort and convenience look for an excuse not serving and
loving people in difficult situations, but if you are a true disciple you don’t
consider comfort and convenience. When ending up with a difficult person next
to you, be the least and serve, love, bless and pray for him/her (Rom 12:21).

To be a good leader you must hear and
listen to God’s voice. The more time you spend with God, reading his word and
praying, the more you will recognise His voice.

Leaders should have courage; David
was such a leader when he took Goliath on with care. They take the lead and the
risk, with every situation.

You need character to lead. Do what
is right, even when it is hard or difficult. With this your moral authority
will let your followers give you their hearts.

You must be clear in any uncertain
situation how you want to handle it, even if you are not sure it will be
successful and don’t hide it from your followers. They will appreciate you
honesty and believe in you.

When will you follow a leader? When
he has Integrity, is Honest, has Ethics, is above Reproach, How he lead, with a
good Character will let his followers, stick with him.

Part of our training is helping with
the community projects. We are helping with the bread-program where children
get bread at certain points. We collect the bread from a local store that
sponsor it and take it to the house of the person organising the project where
we put peanut butter and jam on it and then deliver it at the feeding points.

We had the following teaching on how
to GIVE for the work of the Lord.

With Mal 3:10 “Bring the full
tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house” as basis,
you are also responsible to whom you give.

GIVE to the local church where
you are part off. They look after you through pastoring and ministering.

GIVE only a portion of offering to
ministries over the TV or radio which feed you, because this type of ministry
can’t do the same as the local church.

GIVE to ministries looking after poor
people, homeless people, orphans and evangelisation.

DON‘T GIVE to institutions full of sin,
preaching false doctrine away from the Bible, supporting abortion, supporting
practising homosexuals, etc.  This includes your own local church that loses
the way. If that is the case go look for another local church then.

DON‘T GIVE to ministries looking after
poor and homeless people if they don’t educate and bring them to God and teach
the people to start looking after themselves.

BE CAREFUL for ministries that try to
manipulate you in giving, for example sending you a letter stating that God
told the signatory that you have a sickness and if you send him $100 he will
then pray for you that the sickness be taken away. Make sure to whom they pray and
don’t let any one pray for you that you don’t trust.

Determine the core values in your
giving and don’t be put on a guilt trip by the different ministries.

We shall try to give short summaries
on what we are learning.

The parable of the man sowing seed
into 4 types of soils – Mark 4

The seed is Gods’ Word for which you
must provide good ground in your heart where it will grow over time, like a
seed in the ground. (Nobody knows how it grows but it does grow.)

Everybody has a philosophy, which is
a system of thought and that become your attitude. (Prov. 23:7) Temptation, the
devil, comes through your thoughts and challenging our philosophies that is
based on Gods’ Word. Which of the following philosophies can you relate to:
Depression or Joy, Poverty or Prosperity, Sickness or Health? The negative one
is satan’s and the positives are Gods’.

Everybody has a body (what you see),
soul (mind, will & emotions) and a spirit. Your spirit is dead and linked
to Satan till you are born again, then God create a new sealed spirit in you
that is righteous and holy as Jesus (Eph. 4:24, 1 John 4:17). Jesus’ death
freed us from all our sin (Hebrew 10:17), even future sins, suffering and
sickness, once for all and for ever. (Is53:5 of 1Pet 2:24 – 25)

You can only lose your salvation,
when you renounce or reject God (Heb.6:1-6, 2 Tim, 2:11&12).Other sin won’t
cause you to lose your salvation. When you are born again God give you the same
faith as what Jesus had when He was on earth.

8 – 12 February 2016

1st week of classes begin and part of
this we listened to all our new guys testimonies, which as always let you sit
in amazement for the way God lead us.

We start off with the first subject
‘A Sure Foundation’ on the subdivision ‘Integrity of the Word’.

Scripture from where we stared off is
Mark 4:1-24, the sowing on the 4 different types of soils. It is been brought
into the situation that if you constantly sowing your heart with the Word of
God, it will grow in you and change you – maybe even without realising it.
Further a good root system in fertilised ground is most important for producing
good fruits.

Base your life and words on God and
His Word, the fruit will be abundance of life and God. But you shall be
targeted by the devil through criticism from other people. You need to keep
your eyes on your walk with God.

It is also very important in getting
surety out of the Word which will be more lasting than on compliments and
prophecies which you shall not remember for a long time.

Open week at Charis Bible College

1 – 5 February 2016

We start the next stage in our life
with great anticipation and it did started on a high note with the open week of
the college with two great teachers for the week, Paul Godawa from Poland and
Steve Olivier from South Africa.

Points out of Paul’s teachings:

• If you struggle to give, you probably have an orphan spirit. Learn to
  give God’s way not your way. God will always provide for you.
• Life is about who you know – don’t look for acceptance – associate with
  Godly people from whom you can learn – you shall then move forward to your
  vision/dream/God’s purpose for you.
• Think what you expect from a friend and then ask your self are you such
  a friend to someone else.
• To let your small seed of faith grow progressively, you need the right
  environment and you have to create that environment. What you hear and see is
  creating the environment and you can control that. Keep space for God’s
  presence.
• Forgive yourself – God already forgave you through Jesus and not
  forgiven yourself is sin – you are not bigger than God by not forgiving
  yourself.

Points out of Steve’s teachings:

• Don’t accuse God for your problems. God is good.
• Don’t limit God with your thoughts and life – go for the impossible –
  dream big.
• Establish your love for God – God has not heard any bad thing about you
  since the resurrection of Jesus.
• Be worth the investment God made in you – He sacrificed His Son.
• Take up God’s promises – believe it – live it – proclaim it.
• HOPE = TO SEE IT    FAITH = TO SPEAK IT
• A fool learn by consequences and the wise learn by words
